Introduction of Solar Thermal Electricity
Solar Thermal Electricity (STE), also known as Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) or a new way of solar energy utilization, uses a large number of mirrors to focus the direct sunlight, heat the working medium and store it, and then uses the high-temperature working medium to generate high-temperature and high-pressure steam to drive the steam turbine generator unit to generate electricity. Due to the existence of large-scale thermal storage systems, solar thermal power generation can achieve continuous, stable, and schedulable high-quality power output, which has broad prospects for development. Among various forms of photo-thermal power generation technology, tower type molten salt energy storage photo-thermal power generation has become the most mainstream photo-thermal power generation technology route due to its high system efficiency and large cost reduction space.
